We are very happy to announce that Dr. Seymour Papert, having been born on a leap year, has FINALLY reached the legal drinking age, here in the United States, of 21 years old....tho it's taken him almost 85 years to do it! Thank you to everyone who sent Birthday wishes via postal mail, Facebook, email and by phone. Seymour had a wonderful party which was attended by some of his closest local friends here in Blue Hill, Maine and the surrounding areas. Seymours spirits are high and his health is good. Don't forget that the Professor loves to hear from all of his colleagues, friends, and fans so please don't hesitate to send an email or post a comment on his Facebook page.

didn't know it was Seymour's birthday, but I did get a card from him. Leave it to him to send ME a card on HIS birthday. I did know it was his birth year though - well, of course, every year is our birth year, but I mean according to the Chinese Zodiac. Seymour is a Dragon and this is the year of the dragon. Seymour has had 7 dragon years in his life, making him 84, as they come around every 12 years. How do I know this when actually I know very little about Chinese Zodiac? Because I'm a dragon, too, just one cycle behind Seymour.

Seymour missed the dreaded February 29 by less than 2 hours, I believe. His real birthday is March 1
